Owner Biosofa
I came to Milano in Italy in 2008 and founded Numerique, a business in the fashion photography space. Numerique caters to fashion brands like Fendi, Armani, Dior and Louis Vuitton, managing their photo productions and their retouching and image delivery. From 2010 to 2016 we expanded the company to Paris, London and Malta, creating new offices and new services in the ecommerce segment. It was a fantastic ride and at the end of 2019 I sold my shares to my italian co-founders.
Since two years, I am growing biosofa.com, an eco-sustainable furniture platform. We handcraft Italian design sofas and home accessories in our Italian workshops, in a completely sustainable way. All products are totally plastic free and biodegradable. We cater to a very discerning clientele that is looking for chic living, but that also want to buy and live with the wellbeing of future generations in mind. The philosophy of our brand and its general transparency reflect this.
Personally I find it was not easy to start from scratch again. I was coming from a mature and relatively tranquil setting and went right back into startup-chaos. But the energy of building something again is incredible. This energy I think is what I find most magical in entrepreneurship.
My fellow EO members are a constant source of ideas and inspiration on my journey. They accompanied me through the expansion and sale of my first company. They are by my side with council, insights and contacts in this growing phase of my second business.
